Aiming for another 1-2 finish in San Marino

Marco Bezzecchi’s podium streak came to an unfortunate end in Catalonia, forced to retire after just the second lap, while Jorge Martin fought his way from 17th on the starting grid to a P10 finish.

It wasn’t the weekend that Aprilia Racing had hoped for, but what better chance to make up for it than at the Grand Prix of San Marino, just down the coast from Aprilia’s home in Noale? 2023 was a standout year for the two riders at the event. Marco Bezzecchi set a new all-time lap record of 305.9 km/h on the way to his second-place finish. The rider who beat him to gold? Jorge Martin.

San Marino marks the start of the final stretch of the season, with just seven races to go. Regardless of the results this weekend, Aprilia Racing will already be pleased as they’re on track for the best year yet in terms of points.
