Can-do in Catalonia
The Aprilia Racing team go from strength to strength as they close the gap to the championship leaders.
At Hungary, Bezzecchi secured his third podium in as many races, bringing him to just 31 points behind third place in the overall standings. The hero of Hungary, however, was Jorge Martin. From a P16 start to a P4 finish, it was the Spaniard’s best finish yet in Aprilia colours.
Looking ahead, Martin commented, “Maybe next race I am on the podium, or going for victory,” and it’s easy to see why he feels confident. Martin has finished on the podium in his last three visits to this track, including two second-place finishes, while Aprilia Racing took home gold in 2023.
With Bezzecchi continuing to climb the leaderboard and Martin reminding everyone why he’s the defending world champion, anything can happen in Catalonia.
